David C. Thompson grew up in Cambodia, the oldest son of Carl and Ruth Thompson, who were martyred in Vietnam by the Viet Cong. He is a graduate of Geneva College and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Since 1976, David has been the director of the Bongolo Evangelical Hospital in Gabon, Central Africa. He and his wife, Becki, a nurse, have three children. His first book was iOn Call,i an autobiography.
