"The songs in the collection have proven themselves worthy of re-recording. We believe in generations to come, some will become old hymns of the church
and will live on in the hearts of both young and old."
- Buck Rambo
The name, Rambo, is synonymous with Southern Gospel Music. Formed in the 1060s, they were one of the most successful artists on the 20th century. The group
was known for their tight family harmony and of course, the countless hit songs penned by group co-founder, Dottie Rambo, that are now considered classics.
In the 1080s, Dony McGuire (husband of Reba Rambo) joined the group as the pianist and producer. Later the two merged forces to become Rambo McGuire where
they celebrated many successes, including a Grammy award.
Rambo Classics is a new recording featuring three generations of family talent including grandchildren Destiny and Israel, original members Reba and Dony,
and the late Buck Rambo, as this was his last recording before passing earlier this year. This is certainly a once-on-a-lifetime event and already a
collectors' item as Southern Gospel fans are still requesting and searching for those popular Rambo classics.
